Camper Award Program

Camp in five state parks during one year, not violating any park rules and regulations, to receive a certificate and patch.  Each person in your group or family will receive them.  You must have camper verification cards, which are available at all state parks and historic sites, that must be verified by staff at each place you camp.

Missouri State Parks and State Historic Sites Explorer Program

Nearly everyone has probably taken a leisurely stroll or a vigorous hike through the woods. However, how many of us have ever stopped in our tracks to patiently listen to our natural surroundings or taken the time to wonder what kind of tree we stopped under to rest? Or who has walked through a historic building or historic landscape and wondered about the people who lived there?  Giving visitors a new appreciation and respect for the natural world and the historic setting around them along with an interest in preserving them is the main goal of the Missouri State Parks and Historic Sites Explorer Program.
