Park Information

The Weston Bend State Park campground is temporarily closed due to construction. It is expected to reopen on Aug. 21, 2025. For a complete list of closures and advisories, please visit our Park and Site Status Map.

Not far from the hustle and bustle of Kansas City, Weston Bend State Park offers secluded picnic sites, a campground and sweeping views of the Missouri River from trails and a scenic overlook accessible to people with disabilities. A 3-mile paved trail takes hikers and bikers through the park's woody terrain.

Park Gate

Park gates are opened and closed at the following times:

  • April 15 to Oct. 31
    7 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily 
  • Nov. 1 to April 14
    7 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily

Day-Use Areas

7 a.m. to sunset, daily, year-round

Park Office hours

Staff are usually available in the park Monday through Friday. The office telephone is monitored between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., daily, year-round.
