Accessibility Information

at Locust Creek Covered Bridge State Historic Site

Parking for this bridge is of packed, mostly level gravel and the bridge cannot be seen from the parking lot. The path to the bridge is not considered accessible. The one-fourth-mile route to the bridge is a historic roadbed, which is of very rough terrain that can be slippery when wet. Two short slopes of up to 10% grade are encountered at the footbridge near the parking lot. Another excessive slope occurs at the approach to the covered bridge. There are a series of information panels at the covered bridge that interpret the bridge and have brochures.

The area is subject to flooding and may be closed during times of high water.
