5K Hike

5/11/2024 | St. Francois State Park | Bonne Terre, MO

Participate in Children's Mental Health Week by getting some exercise out in nature! On Saturday, May 11, we will host a noncompetitive, untimed 5K hike sponsored by the Missouri Department of Mental Health. We will hike the 3.1-mile Swimming Deer Trail, a natural-surface loop considered moderately difficult. The hike should take about two hours to complete.

Participants should wear sturdy shoes and bring water and snacks. We will meet at the Swimming Deer Trail trailhead, which is located behind the showerhouse in the campground.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required and can be completed by clicking here.

If you'd like a shirt and a medal, you may purchase a 5K kit for $20 from the National Alliance on Mental Health-Missouri offers a 5K kit for $20.
