Park Information
Watkins Mill State Park and Watkins Woolen Mill State Historic Site will be closed Nov. 1 and 2, 2025, due to a managed deer hunt at the park. Only registered hunters and people working the event will be allowed in the park and site. Camping will be unavailable to the general public from Oct. 30 until after the hunt.

A 100-acre lake with a paved bicycle path around it, plentiful fishing, a picturesque campground and a choice of picnic spots make Watkins Mill State Park an ideal place for an afternoon or longer. Located near the Kansas City area, the park has ample fishing opportunities and an abundance of white-tailed deer and wild turkeys to watch. The park is adjacent to Watkins Woolen Mill State Historic Site, a National Historic Landmark.
