Missouri History Prize Winner on Display in the Capitol

The Missouri History Prize is awarded annually by the Missouri State Museum as a part of National History Day in Missouri. This year, Odessa High School student Hannah Scott was honored for her exhibit titled “Lucile Bluford: The Conscience of Kansas City and her Leadership in the Call for Change.” This was Scott’s second year for the honor. The subject of her exhibit, Lucile Bluford was an African American journalist whose career spanned 70 years at “The Call” newspaper in Kansas City.

Scott’s award-winning exhibit will be displayed in the History Hall of the Missouri State Museum through mid-August.
