Know the Dark

Experience the sights and sounds of night by going on a guided night hike on one of the parks many trails, where adaptations of many nocturnal animals such as bats and owls will be discussed.  Learn how they use special senses such as echolocation to capture prey in the dark.  Find out about triboluminescence as you test your own night vision by participating in several hands-on activities. Due to limited space, reservations are required. This hike is recommended for ages 6 and up. Reservations can be made by calling the park at 573-449-7400.
