Want to get off the couch after Thanksgiving? Then come hike our longest trail with us! Join an interpreter and learn about selected park topics as we walk along the 2-mile Limestone Hill Trail.
This hike will start at the trailhead in the museum parking lot, located at 1050 Charles J. Becker Drive in Imperial. Due to construction on Seckman Road, a portion of the trail will be closed during the hike. We will respect this closure and will not hike the entire loop. At the fork in the trail, we will turn right and make our way out to the scenic overlook. We will then hike back the way we came in. In total, this hike will be approximately 1.5 miles long.
Limestone Hill Trail is considered rugged and features slopes and rough terrain. For more information about the trails at Mastodon State Historic Site, click here. All ages are welcome on this hike.
