Special-Use Area

at Mark Twain State Park

The special-use camping area is designated for group camping, with nonprofit organizations and youth groups having priority. The area does have a vault toilet open year-round for campers. The flat fee for use of this area is $40 per night covering up to 20 people, and an additional $2 per person per night for any additional people over the 20 included in the flat fee. For more information or to reserve the area for your group, call 573-248-9980.

On the following days (actual or observed), staff will not be available and park buildings will be closed: Christmas Eve; Christmas Day; New Year’s Eve; New Year’s Day; Jan. 2, 2023; Martin Luther King Jr. Day; Lincoln’s Birthday; and Presidents Day.
