Storyteller Jim “Two Crows” Wallen

6/10/2023 | Cuivre River State Park | Troy, MO

Missouri State Parks and MO-Tell are pleased to welcome storyteller Jim "Two Crows" Wallen to Cuivre River State Park on Saturday, June 10. Jim “Two Crows” is an accomplished historical storyteller who teaches people about past events in an enjoyable and engaging way. Join us at the Recreation Hall in Camp Sherwood as he immerses you in the Rocky Mountain fur trade of the 1820s and 30s.

Lincoln County was once a hub for fur traders who trapped along the Cuivre River and took their furs to the trading post at St. Louis. Along the journey that Jim "Two Crows" Wallen will take you on, you will find out if you would have been tough enough to survive the perils of the fur trading routes. If chosen from the audience, you will be asked to participate in a death-defying journey from St. Louis to the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Will you be one of the survivors?

This storytelling event is free, open to the public, and fun for all ages! Registration is not required. Visitors can follow "Special Event" signs in the park to Camp Sherwood.

For more information, call the park office at 636-528-7247 or visit Jim "Two Crows" Wallen's website at jimtwocrows.com.
