Join interpreters from First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site and graduate history students from the University of Missouri at St. Louis for an exploration of the early 19th century frontier.

Experience life on the river and learn how early citizens of St. Charles used natural resources to their advantage. Discover the various ways in which plants, herbs and livestock were used, from cookery to medicine, and find out what Missouri pioneers ate, and how good – or bad – it was for them.

This event is free and open to the public.
