St. Francois State Park will be closed to the public from Thursday, Dec. 1, through Sunday, Dec. 4, due to a managed deer hunt at the park.
Only preselected hunters will be allowed into the park on Thursday and Friday, to scout, set up, and attend the pre-hunt meeting at 2 p.m. on Friday, and again on Saturday and Sunday for the hunt. For safety reasons, the park will be closed to day-use visitors and campers during these four days. Only staff members and preselected hunters will be permitted.
