Saturday, Oct. 31
  • Nature Stroll
    Join an interpreter for a stroll through the woods and enjoy the scenery that Babler has to offer. We will be hiking Hawthorn Trail and will travel through one of Missouri’s most prized possessions: a dolomite glade. Meet at the Alta Shelter parking lot at 9 a.m.
  • Slither Me Timbers
    Slither on over to meet one of Babler’s resident snakes and learn about snakes. Learn why they are beneficial to you. Meet at the visitor center at 2 p.m.
  • Babler's "Howl"-oween
    Trick-or-treating will take place at the visitor center only from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.​ Click here to see more information about this event.
  • Camper Judging
    Any camper who wants to participate in the Halloween decorating contest will be rated by a panel of judges. The winner will be announced late that night. Judging will begin in the campground at 7 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 1
  • CCC Hike
    Do you ever wonder just exactly how Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park was built? If so, this is the perfect hike for you. Join us in learning about a very important group of young men, the Civilian Conservation Corps. See old remains of buildings and other signs of the past that make history come alive. Meet at the visitor center at 10 a.m.
