National Trails Day Celebration

Friday:

7 p.m. - Camping and Park Safety - Campground Amphitheatre
Join the Washington State Park naturalist staff as they present all of the tips and tricks you need to stay safe!  Missouri State Parks are a great place for recreation and camping, but as with every outdoor experience, the key is being prepared.  Learn some safety tips to make your next camping and outdoor experience one to remember.

Saturday:

Noon - Petroglyph and Glade Tour - Petroglyph Site
This guided interpretive walk highlights two of Washington State Park's unique features. The walk begins with a tour of the ancient Native American rock carvings and will then venture out onto the glade, where visitors will learn about life on this unique landscape. 

3 p.m. - 1000 Steps Trail Hike - Interpretive Center
Join the celebration of National Trails Day by hiking 1000 Steps Trail! Join park naturalist staff for a hike on one of Washington State Park's most unique trails and learn about the park's history.

7 p.m. - Bike Safety and Parade - Campground Amphitheatre
Washington State Park staff will help teach you the basics of bicycle safety and how to enjoy the ride in Missouri State Parks. Then, join us for a bike parade in the campground.
