Discovery Day

5/21/2016 | Lewis and Clark State Park | Rushville, MO

Bring the entire family to Lewis and Clark State Park for a fun-filled day in the outdoors! Spend time exploring trails that lead to the oxbow lake that Captain Willam Clark described in one of his journals. Visit the park office and view a 2/3 size replica Keelboat, similar to the one used by the Corps of Discovery on their journey along the Missouri River. Learn about some of the mammals found in Missouri. For more information about the event, call the park office at 816-579-5564.

Event time: 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.

This event is being held in conjunction with the national Kids to Parks Day, which is sponsored by the National Park Trust. For more information and to see a list of all state parks and historic sites participating in this event, click here.
