Jefferson Landing State Historic Site turns 40 in 2016. Join us as we celebrate with an afternoon of fun and games on the lawn of the Lohman Building. This fun-for-the-whole-family event will include hands-on crafts, historic games and special demonstrations. The Lohman Building and Union Hotel will also be open for visitors and tours. The evening will be capped off with a concert on the lawn. Bring your picnics and lawn chairs for an afternoon and evening of entertainment. The schedule of events includes:
1:30 p.m.
- Welcome and opening remarks
- Jefferson Landing sign unveiling
2 p.m.
- Afternoon concert featuring Howard Marshall and Ensemble
3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
- Historic games on the lawn
- Candle and rope making
- Blacksmith demonstrations
6 p.m.
- Family picnic and cutting of the birthday cake
6:30 p.m.
- Backyard Concert Series launch featuring Rose Ridge
