Bird Banding Demonstration

This event will bring bird lovers up close to some of the parks fascinating birds. Experts from the Missouri River Bird Observatory will be on hand to explain the importance of bird banding to researchers and demonstrate how birds are captured, identified and banded. All you need to bring is yourself, and enthusiasm to learn and something to sit on. You can also bring binoculars, bird field guides and insect repellent if you like. The program will be open to all to come and go as you please. Children, please try to bring an adult with you. This event will be held in the special-use area. Please park in the WPA parking lot.
