Open House

8/31/2013 | Onondaga Cave State Park | Leasburg, MO

Attend an informational meeting beginningat 11 a.m. at the nature room of the park’s visitor center.  In conjunction with the open house, the park will also host “My Oh My Where Have All the Bats Gone?,” which features fun family activities focused on bat conservation. The program will include activities, raffles and giveaways as visitors learn about the importance of bat conservation and preservation.  Presentations and trivia games about bats will take place throughout the day with bat-oriented prizes.  The event will include discussion of white-nose syndrome, a disease that is fatal to bats but does not affect humans.  Participants can watch a movie about bat conservation, play a game about bat fact or fiction or just visit to learn about these incredibly fascinating masters of the night skies.
