Baking Wild

12/9/2023 to 12/10/2023 | Current River State Park | Salem, MO

It’s the holiday season, and that means it’s time for treat baking and candy making. We all run out to the store for those last-minute items needed for recipes, but have you thought about going into the woods to collect those items yourself? You don't always have to go to the store to find the nuts or berries needed for your dish. If you're interested in making goodies with items that can be found in nature, this class is for you. So, accompany Kirsten into the wilds of baking with foraged items.

This class will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, and Sunday, Dec. 10, in the Shannondale Fire Tower Classroom at Current River State Park. Each day’s class will cover the same material. Classes go from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., so participants should bring a lunch.

To participate, you must register by contacting Connie at 573-751-1224 or connie.weber@dnr.mo.gov.

Class Times: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
