The nature center and visitor center are housed in a unique historic building that was constructed as a stable in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Visitors can enjoy a variety of hands-on exhibits that feature park wildlife, plants, geology and natural processes. Live snakes, insect collections and a 150-gallon native fishes aquarium are just a few of the favorite exhibits. A detailed 3D model of the park provides directions and orientation to trails and other park facilities.
