See Katy Trail State Park on a tram tour! Senior citizens can experience Katy Trail State Park from the comfort of a tram coach in the Tuesdays on the Trail tours program, a series of eight tours at various locations along the trail. The May 24 tours will run from McKittrick to Rhineland, offering a chance for visitors to see a stretch of the trail they may not be able to experience otherwise.
Tours will be offered at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and will last two hours. An interpretive guide with a PA system will provide a presentation about the history of the Katy Trail and commentary on the local natural and cultural history along the trail. Snacks and bottled water will be provided to each participant. Each tour will host approximately 25 people.
Tours are free, but space is limited. Reservations will open one month prior to each date. To reserve your seat, call the park office at 573-449-7402 or visit our reservation page.
