Fire Tower Hike

4/8/2017 | Sam A. Baker State Park | Patterson, MO

Spring is in the air and with it, the beginning of life. Enjoy this beautiful time of year with a relaxing hike to the fire tower, led by a park naturalist. Built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corp, the tower sits at the top of Mudlick Mountain, 1,313 feet elevation. The hike is moderate and steep in some places so wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes and bring plenty of water and snacks. Meet in front of the visitor center.  NOTE: The fire tower is not accessible.
