Museum After Hours: Bats

8/3/2016 | Missouri State Museum | Jefferson City, MO

Fourteen kinds of bats call Missouri home. Bats are the only flying mammal and are very shy.  They prey on many insect pests, saving Missouri’s crops and woodlands from millions of dollars of damage annually. Join us to learn more about bats and what you can do to protect them.

The program continues the museum's ongoing series, "Museum After Hours," held the first Wednesday of each month.  In addition to the program, the museum's galleries will be open until 9 p.m.

The program will be held in the Missouri State Museum's History Hall, located in the east wing of the Missouri State Capitol. Click here to read the news release.
