The Bottomland Journey

Join a park naturalist on National Trails Day for a journey on Spice Bush Trail. This trail lies within the flood plain of one of the most biologically significant river basins in mid-continental North America. Learn about the diversity of plants and animals in this bottomland forest as we walk the 0.8-mile trail. Meet at the Spice Bush Trail trailhead parking lot at 9 a.m. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes for walking and bring drinking water. Please check website or call the park office for cancellation.

Hike time: 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
