Christmas Walk

The site will be participating in Ste. Genevieve's Christmas Walk celebration. A holiday parade on Saturday at 11 a.m. kicks off the celebration in Ste. Genevieve's historic district. The site will be serving free samples of "croquignolles," a historic French doughnut, in the courtyard of the Shaw House on Saturday from 10 a.m. until they are gone! 

Historian Dr. Carl Ekberg will be signing copies of his newly released book, "A French Aristocrat in the American West" from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, with a brief talk at 1 p.m. Copies of the book will be available for purchase in the site's gift shop in the Shaw House. 

Local historian Bob Mueller will present a program on old French and German Christmas customs at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Guided tours of the Felix Vallé House will be available during both days. Free musical entertainment will be offered throughout the historic district both days.
