William H. Pommer Concert and Symposium II

Celebrate the life and works of Missouri musician William H. Pommer and the German American composers so influential to music of the 19th and early 20th centuries. From classical cello solos to German folk tunes to German American theater in New York, two evenings of performance at the historic Showboat Community Theatre and a Saturday afternoon symposium, also at the theater, will delight audiences while enriching understanding of German musical contributions to American culture. This free event is sponsored by Deutschheim State Historic Site in partnership with the Missouri Humanities Council and with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Symposium: 2 p.m.

Concert: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

The Showboat Community Theatre is located at 112 E. Fourth St. in Hermann.
