Behind the Scences - Untold Secrets Preservation Tour

Arrow Rock is known far and wide for its exemplary efforts in historic preservation. Here’s your opportunity for a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the town’s most impressive preservation projects. The day begins with a luncheon at the J. Huston Tavern, the oldest continually serving restaurant west of the Mississippi River. Following lunch, Mike Dickey, Arrow Rock State Historic Site administrator, will lead a tour of the 1834 tavern and the 1837 Bingham House, a National Historic Landmark. Marty Selby, Friends of Arrow Rock Properties Manager, will take you through the circa 1830s Miller Bradford House and the 1870s “remodeled” John P. Sites House.

Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling 660-837-3200. There is a fee of $25 per person.
