Bison Hike

2/1/2014 | Prairie State Park | Mindenmines, MO

It is still winter, but spring is not that far off. Come to the park to explore the prairie while learning about bison. The prairie in winter can be a great place for solitude. Take this guided bison hike to see what the prairie has to offer this time of year. Prepare for a two-hour hike, perhaps longer, by bringing snacks and water. Binoculars will be useful in looking at bison as well as other wildlife that you may see. Dress for the cold, the winds can be very harsh. Click here to read the news release.
