Museum After Hours: Spring Mushrooms and Fungi of Missouri

The Missouri State Museum will present the program, “‘Spring Mushrooms and Fungi of Missouri,” as part of its ongoing “Museum after Hours” series. Join Chris Crabtree, a natural resource steward for Missouri State Parks, for a fun, fungus-filled evening and learn about some of Missouri’s wild mushrooms and other fungi.  From tasty edibles to poisonous toadstools and everything in between, you will learn about numerous mushrooms that can be found throughout Missouri.  This is a great opportunity to prepare you for the upcoming spring mushroom season and get a glimpse of the diversity of mushrooms and fungi you will encounter while searching for the elusive morel.   The program will be held in the museum classroom, which is located in the History Hall in the east wing of the State Capitol.
