The festivities begin with a solar picnic outside of the park's visitor center. Visitors can learn about the many uses we have for the sun, including cooking. Various types of solar ovens, both commercial and homemade will be on display and visitors will get to sample solar cooked food. Family-friendly sun related crafts and activities will be available.
