Campground Information

Harry S Truman State Park offers basic and electric campsites. On-season (April through October) services include modern restrooms, a dump station, showers, water and laundry.

Potable water is not available in the park during the off-season (November through March).  Campers should bring their own potable water during this time.

The seasons for each campground vary and are detailed below. For reservations, there is a required two-night minimum stay for weekends.

Devil's Backbone Campground  
Campsites 52-56 and 200-202 open year-round; reservations accepted year-round
Campsites 1-21  
April 1-30 open weekends only; reservations accepted
May 1 through Labor Day open daily; reservations accepted
Tuesday after Labor Day through Oct. 31 open weekends only; reservations accepted
November through March closed

Raccoon Ridge Campground  
all sites open year-round; reservations accepted year-round

Buck Ridge Campground  
all sites  
April through October open daily; reservations accepted
November through March closed

Wild Turkey Ridge Campground  
Campsites 121-143  
April 1-30 open weekends only; reservations accepted
