Brogan's Trail

  • Hiking

Length: .50 Mile View map

This trail is named for the shoes commonly worn by Civil War soldiers and is relatively flat. ADA accessibility is only mildly difficult due to the flatness. Wheelchairs may have problems on unpacked gravel or occasional mud. The trail makes use of an area of the historic site that has been touched by mining, yet has forest along the East Branch of Knob Creek. While the surface of the trail is mostly gravel, mud and dirt may be present.  Some of the trail is subject to flooding as it is in the flood plain of the creek. Low hanging vegetation may at times present an obstacle.
