	October 2007	The Katy Trail is always a nice break whether it is riding a bike or hiking down the trail. The trail is great for strollers with big wheels.
	September 2007	Fifth walk of the day. I would love to go from start to finish on this trail … maybe someday I will. Went a little farther along to view the bridge and take some pics.
	September 2007	Nice easy wide trails. Lots of bikers and a neat bridge. The kids want to go back in the fall with their bikes! Lots of fun.
	August 2007	A nice trail. Photographed most of the info boards. We also walked to see the old bridge. Now we will race the sun to see if we can do the sixth one before returning to St. Louis.
	August 2007	I would recommend going in the morning or at least on a cool day. The trail was nice and flat, but shade here is limited in the afternoon and evening.
	August 2007	You will meet many friendly people along the trail. You will also see a neat old bridge on that section of trail.
	August 2007	I didn't bring my bike, as our goal was to hike several of the Trails of the Month today. The hardest part was finding the trailhead/parking lot. That 1/2 mile took a lot longer walking than riding! But, you can never go wrong when on the Katy Trail…
	August 2007	Very flat, easy walk on a wide, straight, gravel path. Scenery was mainly a cornfield and the highway. Also, beware of the horseflies! We encountered many, even though it was a very short hike.
	August 2007	So picking the hottest day of the year so far wasn't the best time to walk the Katy Trail necessarily but the bridge has a nice view and there were two bikers out being crazy, too. I've been on the Katy at other places and really like the trail.
	July 2007	It was a straight race down the trail between me and Jack that ended in a tie. I stopped to write down the clue while Jack started back at a jog. I took off in a sprint to catch up and once Jack saw me he smiled and was gone.
	July 2007	A smooth level trail covered in gravel. This is a great trail for families. As my husband and I walked, our daughter rode her bike and we kept going even after we found the clue! A red squirrel jumped out of the side grass and I don't know who was more startled -- the oncoming biker, my husband and I, or the squirrel!
	July 2007	Definitely hike this on a cool day in the morning. This was a neat trail, very even and paved. This would also be a great trail to bike as well!!
	July 2007	What a nice level flat walk;lots of bikers out. A cool old railroad bridge to look at when you reach the turnaround point.
	July 2007	I enjoyed seeing the corn growing on the side of the trail and listening to the blackbirds on the wires and trees.
	June 2007	I biked the trail with the DNR (Department of Natural Resources). They put on a wonderful ride each year. If you can bike, you can do this!
	June 2007	This is a great hike for any age. We saw steam coming off of the bluffs. Birds circling above the corn crops and tons of beautiful wildflowers.
	June 2007	We really enjoyed the wildflowers along the side of the trail. There was very limited shade.
	June 2007	The Katy Trail is great for all. We love to ride the trail. The Katy Trail is much better to bike than to hike. My favorite part of the trail is around Rocheport.
	June 2007	Very easy trail. The day I went it was cool so it was a very nice walk. My daughter would like to ride her bike on it next time.
	June 2007	Nice level hike on a spectacular trail. We went beyond the turnaround to checkout the cool bridge. It was interesting to see the watermark from 1993 marked there. The trailhead had a bit of interesting info about the area too.
	May 2007	Wish we would have had our bikes! It is obviously a great trail. Not too much for hiking though; better with a bike. The clue was by a neat old bridge.
	May 2007	We would have hiked longer, but a sudden rain shower just as we arrived at the iron bridge forced us to retreat. We had never been on the trail at this location before. We appreciate the fact that this trail program is getting us to explore new places right in our own community.
	May 2007	Quite warm on a sunny day. Go early in the day or take along an umbrella for portable shade.
	May 2007	Nice flat, easy trail to walk. You get a great view of the Capitol on the walk back.
	May 2007	Don't hike this trail in mid-afternoon -- the sun was beating down on trail -- no shade. The water was to bottom of bridge. Would not recommend this portion of trail to hikers because of the extreme heat.
	May 2007	The Katy Trail is a nice, level surface that is very easy to hike. There are some pleasant views of nearby bluffs as well as the Capitol. It's a popular trail for hikers, walkers and bikers.
	May 2007	It is much more enjoyable to ride a bike on this trail than walk it.
	May 2007	Do not hike it in the mid-afternoon as it is wide open with no shade. When we were there, the water from Turkey Creek was out of its banks and up to the bottom of the bridge. This was a pleasant, easy hike.
