September 2007 | This trail has some scenic overlooks. There isn’t much for viewing the river. It is an easy trail that isn’t steep or difficult. It is a slow elevation change. |

September 2007 | Well... My hiking partner started at the crack of dawn to do a state park power walk and this was the first of six trails. The trail was nice and the view near the clue was wonderful with mist in the valley… |

September 2007 | I really liked this trail with the exception of all the horse droppings we had to step around. It did have some nice views from the bluff though. |

August 2007 | Fairly easy hike. The view from the bluffs was outstanding. Saw no wildlife. There was a wedding reception in the picnic area. What a great way to use the state parks! The music was nice to listen to while on the hike. |

August 2007 | Be sure to take time to sit on the bluff rocks and enjoy the magnificent view of the Cuivre River Valley. After being cooped up with 100+ temps, this was a delight to hike! |

August 2007 | This trail has some beautiful views overlooking the bluff, but the pretty portion is next to a gravel road. Any traffic creates a cloud of dust. |

July 2007 | This trail was so easy to walk that my 75-year-old mother went with me! The clue was easy to find and the trail was well marked. Breathtaking site overlooking the bluff made the hike well worth it. Brought back many memories for mom and I. Dad is now gone and mom and him took me and my five siblings camping here many times when we were young. At that time, the campground was near where the old bridge used to be. Wonderful way to spend a day! |

July 2007 | I am 75 years old and walked this with my daughter. It brought back many memories as my husband (who is no longer living) and I brought our six children camping here many times when we were all younger. It is a walkable trail for older adults and the view from the bluff is worth the walk. |

July 2007 | This was an easy trail to walk on except by the cliffs. We could see lots of fields from the bluffs. We saw one deer on the path. |

July 2007 | Get the trail map before you hike this trail! The views were fantastic from the top of the bluff and there are some neat rock formations. |

July 2007 | This trail is shared with horses for parts of it. This is very unpleasant at times as you have to watch what you might step in and this is where you would want to see the views from! The trail that is not shared by horses it very nice and well marked. |

July 2007 | This is a good trail for beginners -- long enough to be worth the hike but not too challenging. Water and real bathrooms available at the picnic shelter. |

June 2007 | This is a fairly easy trail to hike. This trail is fairly open except for a short stretch near the end that had some vegetation crowding the trail. I saw some different species of wildflowers on the bluffs along the river as well as several turkey vultures that appear to roost in the trees along the bluffs! There are several other trails in the park; so be sure to get a map at the main office. |

June 2007 | This is a very nice trail to hike with a stunning view from the bluff. We were treated to a magnificent sunset following a cloudy day. |

June 2007 | The views of the valley and river are amazing from the top of the bluff. We saw about a half dozen wild turkeys, including a baby turkey. The trail is listed at 2.0 miles, but seemed shorter and was a fairly quick hike. |

June 2007 | Please people out there hiking: Keep your cell phones in your car! Nice easy hike. I really enjoyed all of the wildflowers along the bluff. |

May 2007 | Stay off this trail. Although it has great views from the bluff, there are lots of horses on this trail and it had rained so I spent most of my time dodging fresh horse waste. |
