"Where are the Women" lecture and performance series to be held at Scott Joplin House State Historic Site

Tours

From November through February, tours are offered every hour between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday (ending with the 3 p.m. tour).

From March through October, tours are offered every hour between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and on Sunday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. (ending with the 3 p.m. tour).

Tour fees are $2.50 for adults and $1.50 for children age 6-12. Children age 5 and under are free.

Groups of 15 or more should make reservations at least one week in advance. Group rates are $1.50 for adults and .75 for children age 6-12. To make a reservation, please call the site at 314-340-5790.


1905-1910 T. Bahnsen Piano.Ralph W. and Emma VanGennip of St. Charles have donated a 1905-1910 T. Bahnsen Piano Manufacturing Co. piano to Scott Joplin House State Historic Site. The piano company also published music including Joplin's Bethe, Sarah Dearand Binks Waltzso the piano has a connection to the Scott Joplin House. A special thanks goes to "Perfessor" Bill Edwards and Dr. Dave Majchrzak who helped connect the house and the donor and to the Friends of Scott Joplin who donated the funds to move the piano.
