Smallmouth bass, bluegill and crappie are the primary fish in the Meramec River. The park offers approximately two miles of river bank access for those without watercraft.

There is a single-lane boat launch located at the day-use area on the Meramec River. It is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the on-season and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the off-season. Boaters are cautioned to check river and ramp conditions before attempting to launch.
Overnight camping is not permitted in this area. Due to the high volume of boat traffic, swimming is prohibited.
Picnic Area/PlaygroundTwo picnic shelters are available and can be reserved for $40 per day. If not reserved, each is available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Each shelter has electricity, a group grill and can accommodate up to 75 people.
There are flush toilets and a playground located in this area. Reservations can be made by calling the park office.
