WHAT: Ceremony to acknowledge the induction of Katy Trail State Park into the national Rail-Trail Hall of Fame in Washington, D.C.
WHEN: 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008
WHERE: Governor's Office, State Capitol
WHO: Rails-to-Trails Conservancy President Keith Laughlin will present the official Hall of Fame award certificate to Gov. Matt Blunt. Also attending will be officials from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and key dignitaries associated with the Katy Trail.
WHY: The Rails-to-Trails Conservancy has named the Katy Trail State Park as the second inductee into the Rail-Trail Hall of Fame. RTC's Rail-Trail Hall of Fame was established in 2007 to honor outstanding rail-trails.
