INFORMATIONAL MEETING IS MARCH 1 AT
NATHAN BOONE HOMESTEAD STATE HISTORIC SITE
JEFFERSON CITY, MO., FEB. 19, 2008 – The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will host an informational meeting on Saturday, March 1, to discuss issues related to Nathan Boone Homestead State Historic Site near Ash Grove. The meeting is 1 to 2 p.m. in the Boone home; it is open to the public.
Representatives from the site will provide information on facility operations, activities planned for 2008 and future development. Visitors are invited to share comments and suggestions about the historic site. This is Nathan Boone’s birthday, and refreshments will be provided.
The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided by state parks and historic sites.
Nathan Boone Homestead State Historic Site is located 1.5 miles north of Ash Grove on Highway V. The historic site preserves the last home and grave of Nathan Boone.
