OPEN HOUSE PLANNED FOR SAM A. BAKER STATE PARK DEC. 14

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., DEC. 3, 2007 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an open house Friday, Dec. 14, to discuss issues at Sam A. Baker State Park near Patterson. The open house is 5 to 7 p.m. in the park's visitor center. The public is invited.

Discussions will be held on current and anticipated construction projects. Park officials will be available to receive comments and questions from the public on park operations and facilities.

The open house is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.

Sam A. Baker State Park is located four miles north of Patterson on Highway 143.
