INFORMATIONAL MEETING PLANNED NOV. 10 FOR STATE HISTORIC SITES

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., OCT. 29, 2007 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an informational meeting on Saturday, Nov. 10, for Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site in Lamar, Osage Village State Historic Site in Vernon County and Battle of Carthage State Historic Site in Carthage. The meeting is at 1 p.m. at Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site's office in Lamar. The public is invited.

Staff will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about all three historic sites and activities in the past year. Also on the agenda is an update of the window restoration and removal of buildings at Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site. Visitors are invited to share comments about the facilities.

The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.

Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site is located at 1009 Truman in Lamar.
