OPEN HOUSE PLANNED FOR MERAMEC STATE PARK NOV. 4
JEFFERSON CITY, MO., OCT. 24, 2007 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an open house at Meramec State Park near Sullivan on Sunday, Nov. 4. The open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the visitor center, and the public is invited.
Discussions will be held on park projects and future management and development of the park. Park officials will be available to receive comments from the public on park operations and other projects and to answer questions. Refreshments will be served.
The open house is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.
Meramec State Park is located three miles south of Sullivan on Highway 185.
