MISSOURI STATE MUSEUM AND
JEFFERSON LANDING STATE HISTORIC SITE TO CLOSE OCT. 27 AND 28

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., OCT. 18, 2007 -- The Missouri State Museum in the State Capitol and Jefferson Landing State Historic Site in Jefferson City will be closed on Oct. 27 and 28 for an electrical shutdown, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources announced today. This electrical shutdown includes the entire State Capitol, which will be closed both days. Missouri Office of Administration staff will be doing preventive maintenance work on the electrical system.

Normal functions and operating hours will resume on Oct. 29 for the Missouri State Museum and Oct. 30 for Jefferson Landing State Historic Site.

Electricity will also be down at the Amtrak station, located in the historic site. However, the station will be open with limited services on both days.
