PROGRAM AND PARK OPEN HOUSE IS OCT. 27 AT
DR. EDMUND A. BABLER MEMORIAL STATE PARK
JEFFERSON CITY, MO., OCT. 18, 2007 --The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an open house at Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park near Wildwood on Saturday, Oct. 27. In conjunction with the open house, the park will also host the "Creatures of the Night" program. These events are 7 to 9 p.m. in the park's historic stables. The public is invited.
Representatives from the park will be on hand to provide an overview of the park and discuss recent park projects and upcoming plans. Visitors are invited to share comments and ask questions.
At the "Creatures of the Night" program, guests will learn about ghosts of the past on an interactive walk through one of the park's historic buildings. There will be games, crafts and activities for the entire family.
The open house is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.
Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park is located 20 miles west of St. Louis on Highway BA, between U.S. 40 and Highway 100.
