INFORMATIONAL MEETING FOR STATE HISTORIC SITES IS OCT. 28

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., OCT. 12, 2007 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an informational meeting Sunday, Oct. 28, to discuss issues related to Arrow Rock, Sappington Cemetery and Boone's Lick state historic sites in Saline County. This informal gathering is 2 to 3 p.m. at Arrow Rock State Historic Site's visitor center, and the public is invited.

Representatives from the historic sites will be present to answer questions and provide information on current and future plans for the facilities. Agenda items will include an update on projects that have been completed in 2006 and projects that are about to be initiated at all three sites.

The meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.

The Arrow Rock State Historic Site visitor center is located just off Highway 41 in Arrow Rock.
