MISSOURI STATE PARK ADVISORY BOARD WILL MEET OCT. 19
JEFFERSON CITY, MO., OCT. 12, 2007 -- The Missouri State Park Advisory Board will meet Friday, Oct. 19, at Roaring River State Park near Cassville. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the park's Emory Melton Inn and Conference Center, and the public is invited.
The board, which was appointed by the governor to advise the Missouri Department of Natural Resources on issues relating to state parks, will receive an overview of the division's revenue tracking. Reports will be given on the status of Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park near Lesterville and from the Missouri Parks Association and the Missouri State Parks Foundation. Agenda items will include a discussion about price increases for the park system's concessionaires and the impact of light pollution in state parks.
Roaring River State Park is located seven miles south of Cassville on Highway 112.
