INFORMATIONAL MEETING FOR BENNETT SPRING STATE PARK IS OCT. 19
JEFFERSON CITY, MO., OCT. 4, 2007 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an open house and informational meeting on Friday, Oct. 19, to discuss issues related to Bennett Spring State Park near Lebanon. The meeting is 6 to 8 p.m. in the park's nature center, and the public is invited.
Representatives from the park will present an overview of the park and its resources. Topics open for discussion will be the centralized reservation center, campground #1 renovation progress and the proposed sewer district. After the presentation, there will be a question-and-answer session. The public is invited to share comments on the park and its services. Refreshments and a tour of the nature center will be available from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
The meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the Department of Natural Resources to ensure that the public has input on facilities and services provided in state parks and historic sites.
Bennett Spring State Park is located 12 miles west of Lebanon on Highway 64.
