INFORMATIONAL MEETING IS OCT. 16 FOR
STATE HISTORIC SITE AND TWO STATE PARKS
JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 4, 2007 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will host an informational meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site in St. Charles. The meeting will discuss issues related to First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site, Edward "Ted" and Pat Jones-Confluence Point State Park in West Alton and the eastern section of Katy Trail State Park. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the site's interpretive center and is open to the public.
Representatives from the historic site and parks will discuss future plans for programs, special events and continuing development at all three facilities. Visitors are invited to share comments and suggestions about the sites.
The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.
