INFORMATIONAL MEETING AND NATURE PROGRAM
FOR ST. FRANCOIS STATE PARK IS OCT. 20

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., OCT. 4, 2007 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an informational meeting on Saturday, Oct. 20, to discuss issues related to St. Francois State Park near Bonne Terre. The meeting is 7 to 8 p.m. in the park's campground amphitheater, located directly behind the showerhouse. The public is invited.

Representatives from the park will provide information on present and future plans for the facility and answer questions. The public is invited to share comments about the park and its facilities. Immediately following the meeting, the park naturalist will present a nature program.

The meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.

St. Francois State Park is located on U.S. Highway 67 in St. Francois County.
