INFORMATIONAL MEETING FOR GRAND GULF STATE PARK IS OCT. 3

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., SEPT. 21, 2007--The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an informational meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 3, to discuss issues related to Grand Gulf State Park near Thayer. The meeting will be held from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the El Acapulco Restaurant, located at Highways 63 and 142 east at Thayer. The public is invited.

Representatives from the park will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. Wayside exhibit panels and future replacement of some of the overlooks will be discussed. Visitors are invited to share comments on the park and its facilities.

The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.
