COOKOUT AND INFORMATIONAL MEETING IS
SEPT. 18 AT BOTHWELL LODGE STATE HISTORIC SITE
JEFFERSON CITY, MO., SEPT. 10, 2007 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold a hotdog cookout and informational meeting Tuesday, Sept. 18, to discuss issues related to Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site near Sedalia. The meeting will be held at the site’s picnic shelter at 6 p.m. The cookout is free and open to the public.
Following the meal, staff from the site will present an overview of the historic site and provide information about tours, attendance, special events, maintenance projects and budget. There will be a question-and-answer session, and visitors are invited to share comments and suggestions about the site and its facilities.
The meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on facilities and services provided in state parks and historic sites.
Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site is located seven miles north of Sedalia off of Highway 65 on Bothwell State Park Road in Pettis County.
